We are delighted to welcome Yana West to our team as an outpatient mental health counselor intern. Yana is a compassionate and dedicated counselor-in-training, committed to providing high-quality mental health care to adolescents and adults navigating life’s challenges.

Yana is currently a candidate in the Clinical Mental Health Counselor program at William & Mary, where she has been rigorously trained in evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques. Her academic journey has equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to support individuals struggling with a variety of mental health issues, including symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Yana has a special interest in working with veterans and their families, understanding the unique challenges they face during and after service. Her dedication to this population stems from a deep respect and admiration for their sacrifices and a desire to support their mental health and well-being.

Yana utilizes a client-centered approach, creating a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. Yana is passionate about helping her clients develop coping strategies, build resilience, and achieve personal growth.
